Personalized grooming for happy, healthy pets.

Hi! I’m Jenna, the groomer, owner, and dog-obsessed human behind Tailored Tails Grooming. With over 8 years of professional grooming experience, I am dedicated to providing a safe and calm environment for your furry friends.
Grooming has always been more than just “a job” to me — it’s something I genuinely love. I’m passionate about making dogs feel comfortable, confident, and cared for, especially the nervous, wiggly, or sensitive pups who need a little extra patience. My goal is always to make grooming feel like a gentle, positive experience rather than something stressful or scary.
I want every pup (and owner!) to feel comfortable, informed, and excited for their visit. Here’s everything you need to know to help your appointment go smoothly!
For everyone’s safety, all dogs must have a current rabies vaccine (a photo on your phone is totally fine!).
Please try to avoid vet visits or vaccinations within 48 hours of grooming — it helps keep your pup feeling their best.
Tailored Tails is a one-on-one grooming salon, so your appointment time is reserved just for your dog.
• Please arrive right at your scheduled time (not early — the salon runs one-on-one, so early arrivals may disrupt the previous pup’s spa time 💛).
• If you arrive early, just text me first!
• Arriving 10+ minutes late will count as a late cancellation.
You’ll receive a confirmation text 3 days before your appointment.
Please make sure to confirm — unconfirmed appointments may be released to another client.
You’ll also get a 30-minute pickup notice.
Late pickups (over 30 minutes) will incur a $5 fee per 5 minutes
Life happens — I completely understand! Just please give me at least 36 hours’ notice if something comes up.
• Late cancellations: 50% of the groom cost
• No-shows: 100% of the groom cost
• New clients who no-show will not be rebooked
This helps me keep the schedule fair and running smoothly for everyone.
If your dog arrives feeling under the weather (vomiting, coughing, limping, eye issues, diarrhea, etc.), I’ll need to send them home so they can rest and to keep everyone safe.
Because that time was reserved for them, the 50% cancellation fee will still apply.
Please let me know ahead of time if your dog has any medical or behavioral concerns so I can prepare to make their appointment as comfortable as possible.
If fleas are found, a flea-treatment fee will be added.
Every dog experiences grooming differently, and my goal is always to make each pup feel as safe, calm, and supported as possible. Some dogs may become nervous, overwhelmed, or reactive during certain parts of the groom — and that’s completely okay! I always use gentle handling, calming techniques, and give breaks whenever needed.
However, if your dog becomes extremely stressed, reactive, or shows signs that they feel unsafe (growling, snapping, panic, shutting down, etc.), I may need to pause or stop the groom. This is never a punishment — it simply means your pup is telling us they’ve had enough for the day, and I never want to push a dog past their emotional or physical comfort level.
We can work together to create a plan moving forward, such as:
• shorter sessions
• slower introductions
• handling exercises at home
• or trying again on a different day when your pup is feeling more comfortable
Matting can be painful for dogs and may hide skin issues. Mats can:
• Pull on the skin
• Trap moisture
• Cause irritation or infection
• Restrict airflow
• Be unsafe or painful to brush out
For severely matted pups, a short haircut is the kindest and safest option.
If matting can be brushed out gently, it may extend grooming time — safety and comfort always come first.
Breeds like huskies, shepherds, and many fluffy friends have special coats that protect them year-round.
Shaving them can:
• Damage the coat
• Affect their temperature regulation
• Cause sunburn
• Create patchy regrowth
For these pups, shaving is only done when absolutely necessary (like severe matting). Regular deshedding is the best way to keep them comfy and healthy!
If there’s ever a medical emergency and I can’t reach you, you authorize me to get your dog immediate veterinary care at your expense.
